In any A/B, Multivariate, or Split URL test, you modify a webpage or app screen and create another version(s) of the same page. Next, you allocate traffic percentage to each of these versions (including Control). Your website visitors are served variations based on the traffic percentage you have allocated.
When you make any changes to your website using VWO Editor (visual or code), your changes are converted into jQuery statements and saved on the server. When loading the variations, VWO updates the change settings using these saved jQuery statements and displays the page to the visitors. To learn more on how VWO code works, click here.
Using VWO, you can track visitor behavior and engagement on each website version shown to the visitor. Every action that a visitor performs on the variations is recorded and measured using the VWO analytics tools and statistical engine. Running VWO on your website can help you determine how the changes to your website impact the way visitors interact with the website.
