How Does Quota Consumption Work for VWO Web Rollout?
VWO Web Rollout quota depends on the start date of your Web Rollout plan. A visitor will be charged once per month (month starts on the date your Web Rollout plan starts) regardless of the number of Web Rollout campaigns they become a part of. However, if the same visitor becomes part of any Web Rollout campaign in the next month, the Web Rollout quota will be deducted again.
Consider you purchased a Web Rollout plan subscription on Oct 1st, 2020, and the following visitors (1, 2, 3, and 4) on your website interacted with Web Rollout campaigns D1 and D2.

Visitor 1 interacted with Web Rollout campaign D1 thrice (twice in the same month and once in the following month). Here, the visitor is counted twice (once for October and another for November) because the Web Rollout quota works on a monthly basis, i.e., in a month, a visitor will be counted only once, irrespective of the number of Web Rollout campaigns they become a part of. |

Visitor 2 interacted with Web Rollout campaign D1 twice in the same month but didn't return in the second month. Here, the visitor is only counted once because the Web Rollout quota works on a monthly basis, i.e., in a month, a visitor will be counted only once, irrespective of the number of Web Rollout campaigns they become a part of. |

Visitor 4 interacted with Web Rollout campaign D1 in October and D2 in November. Here, the visitor is counted twice as the visitor became a part of D2 in another month. This is because the Web Rollout quota works on a monthly basis. |

Is the traffic quota counted twice if a Web Rollout experience is live on the same page as an A/B Test?
CASE-1: If you have both Web Rollout and Testing quota
In this situation, the Web Rollout quota is counted once, and the Testing quota is also counted once. This is because the visitor became a part of the Testing as well as the Web Rollout campaigns. As a result, both Testing and Web Rollout quotas are deducted.
If the same visitor returns to the same page the following month, another Web Rollout quota is deducted (as Web Rollout works on monthly users), but not the Testing quota.
CASE-2: If you only have a Testing quota
If the visitor becomes a part of testing and Web Rollout, only one Testing quota is deducted.
In the following month, if the same visitor is returning to the same page where the Web Rollout campaign is running, but the Testing campaign is paused, another Testing quota is deducted. This is because the visitors are counted once a month in Web Rollout (unlike Testing, once per visitor regardless of months).
What happens if you don't start the Web Rollout campaign that you created from an A/B test?
If you don't start the Web Rollout campaign from the A/B test, the newly created Web Rollout campaign will continue to be linked to the A/B test and is shown in a tile on the Summary and Report page. You can start the Web Rollout campaign whenever you want.
What happens to the schedule of an A/B test if the linked Web Rollout campaign starts?
When you start a linked Web Rollout campaign, and the A/B test still has a few schedules that can enable the A/B test in the future (such as a recurring starting schedule), it will be disabled.
Do you need to update the manual campaign activation code in the Web Rollout campaign?
If you have manual campaign activation in your A/B test and copy it to the Web Rollout campaign, you will need to update your website's activation code. This is because the campaign activation code contains the campaign ID, and when a new campaign gets created, the campaign ID changes.
Do you need to update the self-hosting files in the Web Rollout campaign?
If you have self-hosting enabled in your A/B test, you do not get an option to copy it to the Web Rollout campaign, as this feature is not available in Web Rollout.
What happens when you have exhausted your Web Rollout quota?
If you have a testing quota, the Web Rollout campaigns will use that quota; otherwise, your campaigns will be paused.
