As you analyze and evaluate your website, you make several observations to understand why visitors aren’t taking the action you want them to take. VWO lets you record all your observations.
In VWO, you can create observations in two ways- you can either create using the PLAN > Observations section of the VWO app or use the reports section of the different VWO Insights tools. Once you have created an observation, it appears in the observations dashboard.
Creating an Observation Using the Observations Dashboard
To create an observation using the observations dashboard, perform these.
Procedure
- Login to your VWO account.
- Go to PLAN > Observations.
The Observations dashboard appears. - To create a new observation, click CREATE.
New Observation dialog appears. - In the New Observation dialog, configure the following:

- Description: Enter the description of your observation
NOTE: The maximum character limit for the description is 200. - Page URL: Enter the page URL where you made the observation.
- Attachments: Upload any additional attachments (if any) in support of your observation.
- Labels: Enter label(s) for your observation. This enables you to filter out the observations list based on the labels defined.
- Description: Enter the description of your observation

- To save your observation, click CREATE.
Creating an Observation Using Different VWO Insights Tools
To create an observation using the different VWO Insights tools (Goals, Funnels, Heatmaps, Session Recordings, Forms, Surveys), login to your VWO account, and from the INSIGHTS section, select the tool where you wish to create an observation.
