Sometimes, it is convenient to add goals when you are making changes to your webpage on Visual Editor. While VWO provides a different section to add conversion goals to the test, you can also add some goals from the editor window when creating different variations of the website:

Adding the Clicks on link goal

Adding the Form submissions goal
Adding the Clicks on Link Goal
Using this goal option, you can track clicks on all links on a webpage.

Click on the link you want to track on a web page.

Select the Track Clicks option from the edit tools menu.

A pop-up window appears containing the prefilled link that you want to track. You can change the link to a valid URL pattern if you want to track multiple pages that match the URL pattern you provided.

Enter a name for the goal and then verify the link you want to track.

Click Done to add the goal to your test.
Adding the Clicks on Element goal
You can track clicks on specific elements of a webpage:

Select the element you want to track on the webpage.

Click the Track Clicks option from the Edit Tools menu.

Select In a new goal if you want to track clicks on the element as a separate goal.

Select In an existing goal if you want to track this element as part of another Clicks on Element goal that you have already defined for the test.

Click Done to add the goal.
Adding the Submits form Goal
From the Visual Editor, you can add form tracking goals to your test:

Select the form you want to track on the webpage.

Click the Track Form Submits option from the Edit Tools menu.

A window appears containing the prefilled form submission link to track.

Enter a name for the goal and then verify the link where you want to track form submissions.

Click Done to add the goal to your test.
