Describes the conditions that must be met before using VWO.
- To be able to use VWO on your website, make sure that you are able to install the JS code snippet of the VWO Smartcode on your website.
NOTE: VWO only supports domain-name based URLs. If you want, you can set up a sub-account to verify your A/B Tests. Post this, you will be able to clone your A/B tests to your production account.
- As the tag managers are asynchronous, you do not have any control as to when the tag gets triggered. Due to this, a tag might get triggered at last instead of first place. The issue with VWO Smartcode initiating late on the page is that your A/B tests load late on the website. As a result, you will see the control page for a moment before the changes appear. Also, the tag managers have other scripts and if the VWO script in a tag manager works fine for you on your blog pages doesn’t mean that it might be the same for other parts of your website where there are more scripts.
NOTE: In general, all the A/B testing platforms have this issue.
- To use the VWO app, it’s recommended to use the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers
NOTE: In Safari and Firefox (version 67 onwards), the third-party cookies are disabled by default. You need to manually enable them to use Campaign builder, Heatmaps, or Live Previews.
