To measure the success or failure of your VWO test, certain criteria must be met. This criterion is typically termed as Goals. Setting up goals for your VWO test is the most integral part as it enables you to collect and analyze the data to evaluate the conversions on your website.
Each visitor on your website has some specific purpose, be it gathering information, checking out pricing, subscribing to a newsletter, purchasing, submitting their contact details to get further information, or something similar. All these actions constitute a goal that you can track and identify ways to improve your website conversions.
All the visitor actions on your website generate value in terms of revenue, user signups, lead generation, and so on. Goals typically help in measuring the health of your website by ascertaining the health of your goals.
Goals in VWO are broadly categorized as:
VWO Insights Goals
Insights Goals in VWO are typically created to assess the current visitor behavior and trends on your website. For example, if you only want to check how the Subscribe CTA button is performing in general, not as an assessment of test variations, you can simply achieve this by using these goals.
