VWO allows you to structure and organize your account and users using different levels of authority. The hierarchy consists of workspaces and users. As an account owner or administrator, you can add multiple users and workspaces to your VWO account.
Main Workspace/ Account Owner
This is the topmost in the VWO hierarchy and also the contact point for VWO. With this workspace, you can:
- Create users and define access permission for each user
- Create other workspaces
You can add users to a workspace to facilitate smooth collaboration between the members of a project. When you add a user, you identify the person by the email address registered in VWO and assign the appropriate access level for them. The access level indicates the actions that a user can perform in VWO.
|Access Level||View Tests||Create Tests||Publish Tests||Create Users||Add Custom Dimension|
As an administrator or the owner of the main workspace, you can create other workspaces to organize customers or products you handle in separate categories. In most cases, other workspaces are used by companies handling multiple customers and need to manage a separate account for each customer. It can also be used in a large Enterprise setup where different teams need to run their own tests on varying domain names.
Users Under Workspaces
Each workspace can have multiple users under them, and different access levels (Browse, Design, Publish, Admin) can be assigned to each user. However, users under one workspace (except the main workspace) will be subject to work on that workspace only and cannot view data on another workspace.
Furthermore, if a workspace is disabled from the main workspace, the users under the disabled workspace will not be able to log in to that workspace.
