In VWO, you can change the account owner in the following two ways:

NOTE: We recommend the second option when your current account owner is no longer with the organization and you cannot access their email.
Let’s look at how each option works.

Requesting VWO’s Support Team to Change the Account Owner
In situations where the current account owner cannot access the VWO application for any reason or is no longer with your organization, VWO offers a secure process to help transfer account ownership. To ensure the safety and integrity of your data, we follow a structured verification process.
Please follow the steps below to request a change in account ownership:
Send an email to VWO Support
Please write to support@vwo.com using a registered email ID associated with your VWO account.
Your email must include:
- The email address of the user you want to make the new account owner.
- A valid method of ownership verification (choose from one of the options listed below).
Verification Methods (Choose One)
You may validate the ownership using any one of the following options:
- Option 1: Confirmation from Current Account Owner via email
- Option 2: Confirmation from Contract Signatory
- Option 3: Domain Ownership Validation
- Option 4: Validation by Client's Security/Compliance Team
Option 1: Confirmation from Current Account Owner via Email
If the current account owner is available over email, they can send a written confirmation from their registered email. Additionally, make sure to copy the current owner on the email and confirm that the new owner is already a user on the main account.
You can send the email along with any one of the following:
- A signed copy of the order form and the title of the latest campaign created in VWO.
OR - The first 4 and last 2 digits of the credit/debit card used for billing along with the latest campaign title.
OR - A recent invoice and date of payment made to Wingify.
Option 2: Confirmation from Contract Signatory
If the account owner is unavailable, a company-authorized signatory (who signed the agreement or order form with Wingify) may send the request, along with the following documents:
- A copy of the signed order form
- A recent invoice for reference
Option 3: Domain Ownership Validation
In case written approvals are unavailable, domain-based validation may be used. You may be asked to do one of the following:
- Add a DNS TXT record to your domain integrated with VWO.
OR - Upload a small HTML verification file to your live website integrated with VWO.
Our support team will provide detailed instructions and a unique validation token for this process, if applicable. For more information, contact VWO Support.
Option 4: Validation by Client's Security/Compliance Team
If the above options are not feasible, your organization’s Security or Compliance Team may send an email confirmation. In such cases, please share:
- A copy of the signed order form.
OR - Billing verification details as described above may be required.
Important Notes
- VWO takes account security seriously. We may ask for further validation depending on your account’s risk profile.
- The requestor must be from the organization linked to the VWO account and should coordinate internally to gather the necessary documents.
- All requests should be routed through email to support@vwo.com for tracking and validation.
