The Purpose of Profiles
The Profiles feature offers you insights about each individual visitor that has been part of your running campaigns pertaining to VWO Testing, Insights, Rollouts and Personalize. This includes their appropriate visitor properties and the events that they have triggered during your campaigns. This way, it helps you to know what kind of visitors arrive at your website and what all they have been doing there.
Accessing Profiles
To access the Profiles feature from the main menu panel in your VWO dashboard, click Data360 > Profiles. You can now see the UUIDs of the visitors populated here in the order of the most recent at the top.
Upon clicking a UUID, you will be able to see the profile of the visitor featuring their corresponding visitor properties and all the events they have triggered during your campaigns on the right side of the screen.
For discussions and further analysis, you can share the UUID of visitors within your teams. For this, you can use the Copy icon as shown below to copy the UUID to be pasted where required.
From the visitor’s profile, you can study and analyze their corresponding properties and events as follows:
Analyzing the Visitor Attributes
The Attributes tab features the standard and the custom attributes along with their corresponding values pertaining to the visitor.
The standard and custom visitor attributes categories also indicate their respective counts of total attributes being captured under each of them. You can search for a visitor attribute by entering its name or the value in the search bar. As you enter the search string, the attributes along with their corresponding values are populated.
Analyzing the Events
The Events tab features the events that are triggered on your website by the visitor during your campaigns. It starts populating all the events pertaining to those running campaigns. These events are featured as a timeline, where they are grouped under their respective dates, and each of the event entries is marked by the time of trigger.
You can click on an event to view the following details:
- Name of the event
- Description of the event
- API name of the event
- Triggered date and time in HH:MM:SS
- Event Properties and their corresponding values
