You've analyzed your website's heatmap data, armed with a strategic plan to extract insights and optimize your page. But there's always another angle to consider.
For example, the high concentration of clicks on a checkout CTA might appear positive, but the drop-offs in the second fold paint a different picture.
If uncovering hidden details feels overwhelming or if you want more perspectives for improvement, seek the assistance of Copilot, the AI that can extract deeper insights from your web page’s heatmap and deliver precise and appropriate recommendations for testing.
How to Use It?
To derive the insights and recommendations from Copilot, perform the following steps:
PREREQUISITE: To use Copilot for heatmaps, ensure you have the Chrome browser with the VWO extension installed. Additionally, the page must have at least 10 clicks to activate Copilot.
- While viewing the heatmap of your web page, click on Copilot. This triggers the Heatmap Screen Capture notification popup.
- Copilot requires your permission to capture and process the heatmap data on your page.
REMEMBER: While Copilot is capturing the heatmap data, refrain from switching to a different browser tab, as it interrupts the process.!!
Click on the Begin Capture button to acknowledge the notification that warns about the screen capture process.
Now, Copilot will start analyzing the page. Based on the data points present on your web page’s heatmap, this process takes about a minute.
What Does It Show?
Once the analysis is complete, Copilot displays the generated insights and recommendations in the Heatmap Copilot pop-up with the following details:
- Overall Key Findings - Features a breakdown of positives and areas for improvement.
- Analysis - The overall analysis of your webpage is carried out based on the following parameters:
User Engagement | Provides insights into how users interact with your webpage. It identifies areas attracting the most attention and those with the least engagement, allowing you to optimize for better user experience and increased interaction |
Content Effectiveness | Highlights whether your key content is strategically placed for optimal visibility and visitor engagement |
Conversion Barriers | Pinpoints elements on your webpage that might be hindering the conversion process |
Design Audit | Provides insights into the effectiveness of your website's design and layout |
Scroll Behaviour | This section analyzes user engagement across different depths of your webpage |
- Recommendations - Features a list of recommendations for improving your web page along with the corresponding reasoning.
Recommendations are categorized by their impact level, with the High-impact ones appearing first, followed by Medium and Low.
Interactive Analyses and Recommendations
Copilot empowers you with interactive analysis and recommendations to provide a more comprehensive understanding of your web page's visitor behavior. The Analysis and Recommendations sections may cite specific areas on your web page with clickable links. Clicking these links will navigate you directly to those sections of your web page, allowing you to easily understand and correlate the analysis and recommendations provided by Copilot.
Saving Recommendations As Hypotheses
When you come across a recommendation that you find very valid or intriguing and wish to test, you can simply save it as a hypothesis to experiment with later.
