About Albacross

Albacross is a B2B lead generation and website visitor tracking service that helps online businesses identify and connect with potential customers who visit their websites, making it useful for lead generation, account-based marketing, and integrating data with CRM and marketing tools while maintaining GDPR compliance. It provides IP enrichment data, which can be used to target your campaigns in VWO after integration.

NOTE: VWO - Albacross integration is available for Pro and Enterprise plans.

Integrating VWO With Albacross

VWO empowers content managers to run A/B tests or personalization at scale in an intuitive manner. 

Integrating VWO with Albacross is a two-step process:

1. Enable the Albacross Integration in VWO
2. Use Albacross Data As Targeting Condition in VWO

Prerequisites

• An active Albacross account.
• Your website must be installed with the Albacross tracking code.

Enable the Albacross Integration in VWO

To enable the VWO-Albacross integration for your VWO account, follow this:

Procedure

1. Log in to your VWO account.
2. From the left panel of your VWO dashboard, go to Configurations > Integrations.
3. Search and click on the Albacross integration and enable it. Once enabled, the Albacross screen within the VWO’s Integration section looks like this:

Now, your Albacross segments will be enabled in VWO for targeting visitors for your VWO campaigns.

Use Albacross Data as Targeting Condition in VWO

To use the Albacross attributes and segments as a targeting condition in VWO, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to your VWO account.
2. Using the Testing section, create a test campaign.
3. In the URL(s) page, expand the More Options section and select the Enable campaign for a specific visitor group option.
4. Go to Custom Segment and create a segment using the Albacross Attribute option. Use this to fetch the system-provided attributes from your Albacross account. 

Here's an example of how you can put these options to use.

NOTE: When you choose an Albacross attribute as your targeting condition for your VWO campaign, we set the Poll Until setting to Custom Event by default, which includes a code snippet that waits 5 seconds for the albacross attribute variable (window.AlbacrossReveal) to be available. The segmentation condition will not apply if this is not available within 5 seconds. This time interval can be modified (as per your requirement) in the code snippet highlighted in the screenshot below.

5. To add multiple conditions, click Add condition. Also, you can define the logical relationship between the different conditions using the and/or operators and use brackets to organize the segment condition.
6. Once done, click Save Segment.

You might experience a delay in VWO changes getting applied on the page as the Albacross API call might take some time to populate the required info on the page.
